Foreign Trade

Affected by the global economic slowdown and other factors, China's foreign trade appeared the first negative growth in 7 years in November 2008.

The foreign trade data released in December 2008 will be released today. It is expected that there will be a second consecutive month of decline. However, there are still some differences on whether the foreign trade situation is deteriorating further.

J.P. Morgan's forecast is more optimistic. It is believed that the decline rate of import and export will slow down in December.

According to the bank's forecast, the growth rate of imports in December was -13.4% and -0.9% respectively, slowing down compared with -17.9% and -2.2% in November.
